Thirty-eight families in the Lakeside neighborhood of Mount Pleasant brought home Thanksgiving meals Monday night thanks to the Lakeside COP House and Journey Disaster Response.

The COP House will also have a Thanksgiving food pop-up pantry Tuesday where anybody can drive up and pick up food for the holiday, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the COP House, 2237 Mead St. The Mount Pleasant Lakeside COP House has been providing families in the Lakeside neighborhood Thanksgiving meals on and off every couple of years. Usually the COP House purchases the food for these meals themselves, but this year the food was all donated by Journey Disaster Response.
